Surgical Holdings to host second live Academy event in Coventry

Surgical Holdings, a leading manufacturer and repairer of surgical instruments, will host the Surgical Holdings Academy’s second live event in Coventry on Wednesday, 2nd July 2025. This follows the success of the Academy’s inaugural in-person event in Glasgow and its online educational webinars.

Taking place at the DoubleTree by Hilton, Coventry, the free event is aimed at professionals in sterile services, operating theatres, and procurement. The day will feature expert speakers, insightful discussions, and a focus on the latest trends in surgical instrumentation and endoscopes. Lunch will be provided, giving attendees the chance to network with peers in a relaxed environment.

The Academy will emphasise sustainability in healthcare, showcasing how the reuse and repair of surgical instruments contribute to reducing carbon footprints. As the NHS works towards net-zero emissions by 2045, Surgical Holdings leads the way by encouraging the circular economy model for surgical instruments.

Mark Pullen, Training Manager at Surgical Holdings, commented: “We’re excited to bring the Academy to Coventry for our second live event. With the NHS’s sustainability targets, including initiatives like the Green Theatre Checklist, this event will explore how reusing and repairing instruments can support those goals. We look forward to sparking conversations about how we can all contribute to a greener, more sustainable healthcare future.”

With over 35 years of expertise, Surgical Holdings is a trusted supplier of high-quality surgical instruments and repairs to the NHS, helping extend instrument lifecycles while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.

Through the Surgical Holdings Academy, the company shares its knowledge with healthcare professionals to optimise the performance and longevity of their instruments.
