Surgical Holdings Attend AfPP to Showcase High-End Repair & Manufacturing Service
Surgical Holdings will be exhibiting at the Association for Perioperative Practice (AfPP) Annual Conference 2023 to raise awareness of their high-end repair and manufacturing service.
Established in 1988, the family-run business, is a circular economy focussed manufacturer, distributor and repairer of high-quality Surgical Instrumentation. One key issue they are helping operating teams overcome is the maintenance and repair of their instruments, which they handle meticulously from their manufacturing facility in Southend-on-Sea.
With a UK-based team of over 55 people including specialist medical device technicians on hand, Surgical Holdings can save hospitals the costs and time of having to ship instruments overseas for repair and maintenance.
Their repair service covers a range of surgical instruments, (including specialist instruments such as Ophthalmic, Laparoscopic), rigid endoscopes and orthopaedic power tools. Using the latest technology, the company repairs instruments back to their manufacturer’s specification, with all parts having full traceability.
The company’s business remit has developed significantly in recent years, and they now distribute other specialised ranges including Hermann laparoscopic instruments, Tontarra, Bissinger Bipolar Instruments and the Symmetry Surgical range including the world-renowned Bookwalter Retractor and Thomas Codman Surgical Instrumentation, including heritage brands Malis and Rhoton.
