Nested Trocars

Nested trocars are used in minimally invasive procedures, such as laparoscopic surgeries. These trocars consist of a series of hollow tubes of decreasing diameters that nest within each other. During surgery, the appropriate-sized trocar is selected and used to create a port for introducing surgical instruments and cameras into the body.
