Bipolar Scissors and Cables for Electrosurgery
Bipolar scissors enable cutting and dissection with simultaneous bipolar coagulation during electrosurgery. Bipolar electrosurgery provides concentrated energy to a specific area of tissue. The electrical contacts for both scissor blades are conducted via one section of the handle, i.e. the connection cable only needs to be attached to one ring, which significantly reduces interference during handling. Bipolar scissors can be used for a large number of applications in open surgery. Bipolar cables enable power to flow between the diathermy instruments and an electrosurgical generator and are for use with bipolar scissors.
